Hi, I’m Jonas, your guide here in Wrangell, Alaska. I moved to this small island community in 2015 and have spent more than 700 nights exploring its shorelines, forests, and history as a wilderness guide. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Tourism, Outdoor Leadership, and Adventure Education, and I’ve spent years helping visitors connect with this place in meaningful, authentic ways.

Today, I’m proud to welcome you to Wrangell through small-group, story-rich walking tours designed especially for cruise ship guests. My goal is simple: to share the real Wrangell—the people, the past, and the living culture—through genuine, place-based stories you won’t hear anywhere else.

I’m also a new dad, and raising my daughter here gives this work an even deeper purpose. Every tour is a chance to create a lasting positive experience for you while honoring the community I care about.
